skills post #1~

If I want to attend an english camp and I have a few choices, I would compare and contrast. My choices are Camp Big Apple, Ranch West, and Head Tart Spash. All three camps are simular in some ways, but they are also different.
Camp Big Apple is a camp located in New York. On one hand, it is an intensive camp that you do for three weeks. But on the other hand, because it is in New York, it might be noisy and because the korean professors teach, you might not know what they teach in the univercities. Also, Camp Big Apple is a Camp for SAT, and you live in a dormitory.
Ranch West is a camp in rural  Canada that believes that kids learn the best when they do something that interests them. In this camp, you can choose what you want to learn. so, the children will have fun learning it. but, the bad thing is you can only learn a few subjects, rather than many or all. Also, the camp is taught by recent univercity graduets do they might not be a good teacher. The camp is for four weeks and you homestay while in camp.
Head Start Splash is a camp in Cebu, Philippenes. This is a camp that requires one of your parents to come with you. It five weeks and the classes are taught buy local teachers. The camp prvides you and your parenets a small apartment, but is your parenets can't caome, that also means that you can't come.
In contrast, I think that Ranch West id the best camp for me. Because, Ranch West lets you pick what you want to learn. Also, it is taught by recent students, so the students will still have a lot of knowledge in their minds, and the campers will get all of the knowledge to teach the kids.

  1. OK, but you spent more time describing the schools than actually comparing one to the other. The body, the middle paragraphs, of a compare and contrast essay are where you should compare and contrast. Not the final paragraph. We'll work on this later to get it better. You can do it!
